Matt "fatman" Fumarola

 

D.O.B:  22/08/74.

Hometown: Birmingham.

Occupation: National Grid Team Leader.

Family: Michelle (His long suffering wife) Sam and Jake (His Sons), Sinbad (His Pooch).

Role: Driver and team principle, Matt is the head of the team and although the team makes its decisions together the final call is his... (this doesn't mean that if things go wrong its his fault... the rules of delagation mean that driver blames passenger, passenger blames mechanic, mechanic kicks tool box).

Andi "velcro" Wilson

 

D.O.B: 23/04/79.

Hometown: Coventry.

Occupation: Class two lorry driver.

Family: Becka Lloyd (his much better half) Georgia (his daughter) Ben (his son).

Role: Passenger and rider equipment technician (that means cleaning and maintainance of googles and kit etc). It is also Andi's job to act as the eyes in the back of matts head whilst on track and let him know of any challenge for position.

Nick "you're not hitting the bends hard enough" Fumarola

D.O.B: 08/10/49.

Hometown: Birmingham.

Occupation: Storeman at National Grid DC.

Family: Mags (His wife) Matt (His Son), Kelly (His Daughter).

Role: Mechanic and voice of reason, it is Nicks role to set up the bike and keep the team focused whilst getting his stock phrase "you're not hitting the bends hard enough" into every conversation.

Sam "chav-tastic" Fumarola

D.O.B: 28/08/93.

Hometown: Birmingham.

Occupation: Student.

Role: Trainee mechanic and bike pusher. The last two seasons have really seen Sam become a valuable part of team FWR, always willing to try new tasks and learn new skills regarding bike setup and preparation. Sam often offers solutions to problems that the rest of the team are left scratching their heads over.

Jake "I'm Bored" Fumarola

D.O.B: 08/10/99.

Hometown: Birmingham.

Occupation: Student.

Role: Chief bike cleaner and tactic advisor. Jake is always the most to the point member of the team. If we do well he is the first to say we did great if we make a total balls up of it he lets us know without holding back. Every team should have a Jake his youthful honesty often gives us a fresh perspective on the way a race has gone.
